Documentation for Exploring Leadership

This experience was Exploring Leadership, which was an honors seminar that was held from 3:35-6:20 on Wednesday afternoon. During this seminar, many leadership models and philosophies were explored. Also, a good portion of the class was used to learn about the different opportunities The University of Cincinnati offers and to enhance my own leadership potential. I chose to engage in this experience because I wanted to get a Breath of Knowledge class over with, and this seminar seemed like the most interesting course. Also, I hoped to become a better leader, because I know that being a good leader is important to society and my future. This experience exceeded by expectations, because I normally get bored during classes that deal with the social studies issues, but I never bored in this class. There was always something interesting happening. Being a part of this seminar connects to my prior experiences, especially during my senior year of high school, because that year I was expected to be a leader, and this class helped me figure out how to be the best leader I can be. This experience was meaningful because it helped me understand myself and my leadership style and philosophy. It might inform my future intentions because now I am not scared on taking a leadership role. This fact helps me, especially in the business world, because I am able to be a better leader than I was before and I am comfortable with the thought of being a leader. The prior knowledge that was most helpful was that I knew that I had the potential to be a leader. The new, transferable knowledge that I have acquired is how I can best be a leader and a knowledge of the best leadership traits that I possess.
